Making mince pies

Today I made mince pies and the smell took me straight back to the Christmases at my grandmas house when I was a girl.



I am not sure if I have inadvertently discovered upon my grandma's secret recipe (in which case it's Robinson's mincemeat and ready rolled pastry) or it is because I used her mince pie tin and perhaps they have become impregnated with the fragrance of Christmases past.

Either way up they came out very well and tasted amazing.  They flew out of the Broseley and were gobbled up before you could say Season's Greetings.
