I've been promising for awhile now to show you our new orchard. It doesn't look much at the moment and the grass needs cutting.
Part of my ever growing April to do list along with finishing the soft fruit planting, the new paths, the new beds for the annual seed trial and the sorting out of our tangled strawberry patch. That aside, the rhubarb is now starting to bud and there is no more a beautiful sight than the first signs of rhubarb. It borders on the obscene. There is nothing more shocking than walking through a drab quiet garden to see these little pink tongues sticking out from the soil, just waiting to unfurl. I'd force some for that taste and that bright pink but I would miss this sight.
