Last weekend we received a lovely email from a historian who chronicles and catalogues the hall we work behind. In the email was a lovely picture of the grounds and gardens, showing us exactly where the greenhouses once where, the site of the rose gardens and the Italian gardens. Now we are discussing the idea of restoring parts of the garden for the future. We may not be able to save the hall at the moment but we can bring the gardens back into use. Feel free to download the image below and look at it. Some wonderful details on it from The Butts to Oaken Bank Wood, details of iron work for roses and varieties once grown in the grounds.
