Afternoon Tea

A few Sundays back we had Jenny around. Jenny, before she got her new allotment, used to potter around our garden helping us out, she planted most of the daffodils in the orchard and helped build our short-lived polytunnel. We don't see her as often as we'd like to but we decided to treat her to something nice.

Afternoon tea

British strawberries and homemade lime and lemon drizzle cake, with dollops of panna cotta, and some eclairs.

Finger sandwiches

Finger sandwiches on homemade bread; ham, beef, egg and cucumber, and finally, home baked scones with cream and jam. This was followed by the age old argument of what comes first on a scone, cream or jam?
